“Paréa” in Greek means a group of friends, guests, or company and typically implies close friends and/or family gathering together to share their experiences, their philosophies on life, and their values and ideas. In Greece, a group of paréa represents a long-lasting circle and cycle of life nourished by the people who participate.
Quality time spent together amongst Greeks, as with most Mediterranean people, is never done without the sharing of home-cooked plates, whether small or large, and a welcoming beverage, most often a glass of wine. To have it any other way would be “amartía,” a sin. At Paréa Wine Bar and Café, we share this same philosophy and live that same way of life every day. When customers come into our home, we want them to feel like they are visiting with close friends. We want them to bring their close friends and spend quality time together over some home-cooked plates and a great bottle of wine, to relax and share. They should never feel rushed and always feel welcome. Our guests will always be treated like our “paréa.”
